LOLA Austin Performs "Petit Reve" Song Cycle

Join LOLA as we welcome to the stage soprano Dana Long Zenobi and pianist Jeanne Sasaki presenting "A Valentine to Female Composers". This (16th) LOLA at 4th tap concert features some of the most luscious insightful songs in the Canon. And if they are not in the Canon, they dang well should be! Music by both Nadia and Lili Boulenger, Pauline Viardot-García, and Maria Malibran. Other featured composers include Austin's own Rain Nox and Canadian-born Genevieve Vincent. As always, tickets are a cool $10 and kids get in for FREE. We will be collecting food items for the Capital Area Food Bank. Our last two shows sold out. Get your tickets while they are hot!

Music By Women Festival

Vincent's song cycle "Petit Reve", made up of 4 songs "Entre Ombre et Lumiere", "Les Couleurs", "Stase dans les Moments", and "Les Son Calme", was selected by the Music By Women Festival to be performed in Mississippi during March 1-3 2017 at historic Poindexter Hall on the campus of the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi. American Composers Concert

Vincent's art song for piano and voice "Les Couleurs" will be performed by Soprano Monika Beal and Pianist Fern Fay as part of the American Composers Concert.

The Mission of The American Composers Concert is to highlight the work of American Composers, featuring performances by members of the Pasadena Alumnae Chapter of their favorite American composers and composers from the Los Angeles area.

Echo Society VI Family

Vincent has been commissioned to write a piece for a 90 minute set by The Echo Society as part of their  VI: Family concert. Her piece "Hypersomnia" will have its world premiere along side other world premieres by Alex Somers, Eskmo, Jeremy Zuckerman, Jonny Rodgers, Julianna Barwick, Deru, Drum & Lace, Joseph Trapanese, Judson Crane, Minna Choi, Morgan Kibby, Amritha Vaz, Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear), Heather McIntosh, Nathan Johnson, Rob Simonsen, Vardan Ovsepian, Reggie Watts, and Jonsi.
