Genevieve Vincent is a composer of film music, concert music, and a music producer. She recently scored the Sony romantic comedy The Broken Hearts Gallery starring Dacre Montgomery and Geraldine Viswanathan, directed by Natalie Krinsky and produced by Selena Gomez. Genevieve is currently scoring the Fox series Fantasy Island and a documentary about the life and death of Brittany Murphy for HBO Max.

Genevieve’s other recent projects include the feature thriller Safer At Home produced by Voltage Pictures, Moving Art “Hokkaido” for Netflix for which she wrote a Japanese inspired orchestral hybrid score, and Now Is The Time a National Film Board of Canada documentary which premiered at The Toronto International Film Festival in 2019, screened at The Sundance Film Festival in 2020 and is currently being featured by The New York Times online.

Vincent comprises half of the electronic-pop duo darkDARK, which is signed to Nettwerk records. darkDARK’s debut EP “Heathered” has been featured on NPR’s All Songs Considered, Noisey, and Consequence of Sound, among other notable outlets. The duo has co-writes with Interscope artist J.I.D., Sugaroo artist Jim and Sherli, and GOOD Music artist Pusha T which have landed several synchs including a promo for the 2018 season of Fox’s hit series ‘Empire’, the trailer for 20th Century FOX film ‘The Hate U Give’, and SURVIVE on Quibi. In addition, the duo teamed up with Mau5trap artist HEYZ to create Deadbeats release “Body Language feat.darkDARK”, Ride Recordings release “Daylight ft.darkDARK” and Mau5trap Recordings release “Schedule 4” for which Vincent provided topline and vocals. Their recent remix of Nina Simone’s “New World Coming” was featured in Joe Biden’s presidential campaign spot “Vote For” and was just released by Sony as the opening track of a Nina Simone compilation album. The duo’s first full length album “Feel So Much” was released in February of 2021 and features collaborations with French rapper Leonis, vocalist Madge, and Remixers Giraffage, Duralumin, and HEYZ.

Born in Vancouver, BC, based in Los Angeles, Vincent studied the Suzuki violin method, and was a student of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Vancouver. She went on to attend Berklee College of Music where she graduated with a dual major in Film Scoring and Composition and studied privately under concert music composer Alla Elena Cohen. She was one of eight composers selected to participate in the 2018 BMI conducting workshop, taught by Grammy-winning composer-conductor Lucas Richman. She is also an alumnus of The Echo Society.

Vincent’s concert music has been performed by The Echo Society, The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, La Société de Concerts de Montréal, Local Opera Local Artists, The Music By Women Festival, Sigma Alpha Iota, The Kalistos String Orchestra, the Esterhazy String Quartet, The Instrumental Wind Ensemble of Argentina’s National University of Villa María (UNVM), and as part of The Elements Concert Series.
